Pool Operator Primer (POP):
Students work through the materials covered in the eight-lesson NSPF Pool & Spa Operator Handbook, the same textbook used for the CPO Certification course. Successful students earn a record of completion and IACET continuing education credits.

POP / CPO Math Review:
This course is best suited for students who have taken the POP course & struggled with the math and/orthose who have failed the CPO exam in the past.

A Pool/Spa Industry Event: There must be at least one person in your group that is affiliated with the swimming pool or spa industry. ALL attendee’s (13-years and older) participating in the Fishing Derby are required to pay the appropriate entry, their employee’s, family members or friends, suppliers, their employees, family or friends.

Camping Reservations: Due to the Derby Committee securing very favorable rates for this year’s event ALL RESERVATIONS for the event will be handled by the Derby Committee (please see complete contact information below) –DO NOT CONTACT THE LAKE DIRECTLY as you will pay higher fees! The National Swimming Pool Foundation’s CPO® Course
Is internationally recognized and provides foundational training for anyone involved with swimming pools and spas. Maintenance, staff and management; engineers; commercial pool owners; Health Department staff and management; retail – literally everyone involved, in any capacity, with swimming pool/spa operation, can benefit from this concen-trated training. Upon successful completion of the course and passing the examination, graduates are registered as NSPF Certified Pool Operators® and are entitled to substantial benefits, some of which are 16 APSP Certification credit hours, 1.8 Continuing Education Units (CEU), and the right to display and advertise the CPO® designation.

New Course: APSP Certified Maintenance Specialist
The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals
Certified Maintenance Specialist® Course (CMS) is internationally recognized advanced training for anyone involved with swimming pools and spas. This particular presentation of the CMS class offers a unique opportunity for students to participate in the very first FPSIE classroom presentation of this course. As Chairman of the APSP Service Council, this “make-over” of the prior APSP Tech – I® Course has been one of Professor FPSIE’s major projects over the past several months. He and fellow council members along with APSP staff have recorded thousands of hours of volunteer effort to make this entry level course beginner friendly yet comprehensive and fast-paced enough even for the seasoned professional attending just for certification. So, whether a complete pool/spa novice or a seasoned veteran wanting certification, this is for you.
